Phonics Academia - We Shape Character

Drama is taught throughout the entire school. From Grade 1 up to Grade 10

The emphasis is on learning basic performance skills and developing the children's self-confidence through mime, improvisation, games, and devised sketches and, occasionally, scripted performance.

With creative freedom, students develop tolerance, understanding, and perspectives that will benefit them in ways tomorrow has yet to decide. Future-proofing the application of intelligence has never been more important.

Importantly the curriculum is dynamic and relevant, exploring a wide range of topics, theorists and theatre practitioners.

Subjects are at their own direction or they can follow well-trodden paths such as Shakespeare or well-known films and plays. Drama is also used as an interdisciplinary subject, as some of the subjects covered link with History, English, Humanities and Music.
