Admission Policies

Student Withdrawals

All students withdrawing from the school must submit notification of their withdrawal in writing to the Admission office. A 30-day notification period is required to ensure all necessary documents are ready. The registration fee, admission fee, and re-enrolment fee remain non-refundable and non-transferable, while security fee refunds follow the Ministry of Education Bylaws for Private Education. If a student withdraws or leaves school for any reason, the refunds will be processed as follows and returned to the original payee. A Withdrawal form is also available at the Admissions Office. Email us at phonicsacademia@gmail.com.

A copy of the written notice will be shared by the Admissions Office. Any specific requests regarding reports must be addressed by parents to the relevant school section directly. Do ensure that school owned books and equipment are returned, and that fees owing to the school are paid in full. If you are aware that you will be leaving, but do not yet know the official date, please contact the Admissions Office immediately.

Re-Enrolments

Please note, students who are unable to be registered with the ministry due to missing required documentation, or students with an outstanding fee balance, will not be able to be re-enrolled for the next academic year.

Where a Student has been withdrawn from the School and applies for re-admission, no registration fee will be payable if the Student is re-admitted (subject to availability of a place) within one academic year from the date the child left the School. The Admission Fee, Application Fee, Tuition Fee, Activity Fee, Security Deposit and other fees payable, all at the then prevailing rate, are required to be paid prior to such Re-Admission.

“NOT” accepted students

Phonics Academia does not accept students who have been expelled from their previous school for serious behavioral issues (including physical violence and bullying). Phonics Academia reserves the right to refuse admission to any applicant, at its sole discretion.

Meetings

As aforementioned, we always try to arrange meetings for you and your child with key staff. These are not interviews. Rather, they are a chance for us to learn more about your child’s learning and curriculum needs and to support you (especially in early years and primary school) with subject choices. In this way we can be sure that we are fully prepared to welcome your child on his or her first day at school.

Refunds

If a student withdraws during the school term/semester, the Registration fee, Admission fee, and Re-Enrolment fee, are non-refundable and non-transferable, and the security fee is refunded (If paid) in accordance per the Ministry of Education Bylaws for Private Education. If a student withdraws or leaves school for any reason, the refunds will be processed as follows and returned to the original payee.

Working Below Development Age

Any child in who is considered to be working below their developmental age will not necessarily be guaranteed progress to other grade. In these cases, parents of children in who is considered to be working below their developmental stage at the end of the academic year will be given the opportunity to meet with the Head of School to discuss their child’s progress and to hear feedback about the School’s assessment and decision

For The Special Needs Candidates:

Phonics Academia encourages education for all children irrespective of their caste, creed, religion, color and country. But as of now we are not equipped with special methodology for special needs children. We humbly request the parents not to apply for the admission till we have equipped the school and premises with such facilities. If, in spite of the limitations such children are incorporated into our system the school cannot be held responsible in case of their lack of adaptability, deficiencies, in the art of comprehension, failure to meet the required academic standards and inevitable constraints in the part of holistic development.
