Running Track

Track and field facilities are usually designed as multi-purpose facilities (tracks with playing fields inside).

Sports facilities for track and field athletics are generally used for daily training as well as for staging regional or local competitions. The staging of competitions at higher levels normally entails more extensive requirements for the sports facility, particularly in respect of the infrastructure.

50m Running Tracks are specialized rubber surfaces used for Track and Field competitions with lanes designed to be 3 m in length from start to finish. Track and Field is a collection of sporting contests based on the universal human athletic skills of running, jumping, and throwing. Occurring within the central space of an oval running track or on the track itself, the competitions that make up Track and Field meets are some of the oldest sports in history and remain the core competitions of the Summer Olympic Games. Track and Field events are split into three main categories: track events (running), field events (throwing and jumping), and combined events (decathlons with a single athlete performing in multiple events).

Track events

Track events include sprint, middle distance, hurdle and steeplechase events. The 400m oval track forms the basis of a multi ¬sports arena and its dimensions are dependent on the requirements of other sports. The competition area for track events includes the following:

  • Oval track with at least four lanes and safety zones measuring no less than 1m on the inside and outside.
  • Straight with minimum of two lanes for sprints and hurdles.
  • There are three basic types of track surface—synthetic, unbound mineral (cinder) and grass.

Badminton (Indoor)

Badminton is a fantastic game for our students as it not only enables them to work hard to improve their racket skills but also requires a great deal of physical and mental application. All students at Phonics Academia have the opportunity to play badminton during the course of each school year. We also provide a coaching club for boys and girls who wish to refine their badminton skills. At Phonics Academia, we believe it is our duty to provide students with badminton infrastructure.

It helps provide the following benefits to our students:

  • Outstanding shock absorption – Efficient joint and cartilage protection
  • Optimal vertical deformation – Advanced comfort, reduces risk of physical injuries
  • Optimal traction coefficient – helps reduces the risk of slips and trips
  • Environment friendly – free of solvents and heavy metals.
